Facelift...

Before & After

Just a couple of months ago, I decided to paint my room. In fact all this while I have been making some changes in the house hoping to make some it more homey. With my limited time and skill, I did try my best and I'm pretty happy about it ;0)

I'm making my painting time at home as part of my 'Quiet Time' too. With my occupied schedule, that's the only time I can be still while painting the wall. It has always been a great experiemce; you know, listening to cool music, and painting at the same time.

If you feel bored and want to try something new, well just go to the paint shop and get yourself a 5-litre can of paint and do some painting. I promise the result is very rewarding and satisfying.

My cool paper-curtain!

I even design my own paper curtain; one in my room, the other in the guest room. Pretty cool huh? This is just perfect for me since I hate sunlight and it's really cheap!

The Potter's Hand...

We had a great time making something out of the clay in this week 's CG. Many of us struggled much especially in the beginning when we had to think hard what to make. It wasn't that easy after all. Many including myself will just play with the clay with the intention / hope to see something beautiful would pop out from no where. To have an end in our mind is not an easy task. Eventhough we have an end in our mind, we might not even able to make it. Thank the Lord that our God is not like us! He knows everything. He is SOVEREIGN because He is our Creator!!!

A beautiful claywork always goes through tough time; moulding, cutting, carving, burning, etc. I can't imagine myself to be the clay, man...that hurts! But without going through all these, we will never discover the treasure in the pot. Therefore it is a worthwhile thing to take this as a journey to discover what God has in stored for us, don't you think? Anyone wanna join me to discover this God-in-stored-treasure in us? It'll take lot of endurance, perseverance & humility; not easy at all. But welcome on board!

Here are some of our visitors' claywork!!!

Ee Wen's Cat & Dato Wong's Wine glass

Alex's Celebrity Palm prints & Ying Zhun's Coffee mug

Ah Khai's Mug-wannabe & Qian Jie's Golden Watch

Johnny, the creator of Doraemon of the nite!

One of my favourites - the Doraemon by Johnny!!!

Johnson's work - how Biblical...

Waiting to be painted in the next few weeks!

Don't miss out the fun, join us next round!

Super Week!

Wow...last week was indeed a packed week. We had 2 major events; the Youth & Worship Training by 2 INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES (Chris u hear this???), Torchie & Chris frm Hope Brisbane and the 12th Bible Conference. Over 70 people from student sub-district gathered last Wednesday CG 'Praise in the Jungle' and thanks to Shirley (I.F group) who hosted and prepared all the nice authentic indigeneous dishes-thumbs up!!! Though due to the weather, half of the group was late the atmosphere was really great! Torchie & Chris led great praise & worship; it was really awesome! We were very much encouraged by Torchie's sharing about the passion to draw close to God.

Thurday evening was a night where the Aussies met up with the worship team and had a good dialogue on what they are doing in Brisbane. We worked the Aussies really hard. They conducted a training for the Youth on Saturday morning too.

Lunch @ Ah Beng Chicken Rice Shop, near church.

My pleasure to host them

BC started on Friday and lasted till Sunday. God has never failed to encourage those who earnestly seek Him. Every session was very much faith-lifting. I was particularly impressed by the BM church who was so quick to prepare the multimedia flashback (though it was a little long, maybe?)

Great time of praise!

Great time of Worship!

The Best Welcoming Team; Hope Bintulu

What's this Auntie rushing for?!

Cempedak!!! Patutlah...

The college group decided to go to Tabuan to have lunch after BC on Sunday. Actually I was hopping to taste the super HUGE coconut again. Unfortunately, the type of coconut on that day was much smaller than what we had 2 weeks back. Awwww....

Right after lunch at about 145pm we rushed to the church before we went to the baptism @ Matang Family Park. Half way during the journey, Melvin's car broke down. One of many reasons to praise the Lord is that the car DIED at the Petronas station. Well at least we were able to leave the car there and few passengers could be transfered to other cars. It was very much like a special plan for the refugees to be placed. Phew.... God did provide just enough space for all of us to go up there :@)

Congratulations to the 13 baptisees, in particularly Ah Khai, Qien Jie, Vivian & Eileen! May they grow more to be more Christ-like each day.

It was Ah Tat's birthday that day. How chung!

Reached home at about 500pm & we had to rush for the evening Moon-cake Fest Jalan-jalan at the old Carpenter Str. Oooo.. this is one of my favourites spot; old buildings, colourful lights, food, noise crowds, etc. So much happenings there! I met quite a lot of people there; my colleagues, Ah Hui, Sam, Serena, Chris & my ex-student krazie-Zacq.

Hair cut for just RM1!

The kids were having fun playing the 'Guessing-Lamp-Thingy-'Chai Deng Mi'. Ah Yieng told me I'm older, therefore I should be wiser to answer some of the questions. Oh well... though not many older people are wiser, and to certain extend I couldn't agree more what she said, I tried. There were only 2 questions in English version. 90% of them were in Chinese. One of the questions is 'What city does not have human in it?' After 10 seconds of brain-storming...wah lah, I told them the answer and they quickly submitted the slit under Wei Da's name, hoping that it would be drawn later. Oh well, while waiting for the results to be annouced, few of us were having our supper right in front of the spot. Guess what?! Low and behold, Ah Tat's name was called!!! OooooOOoooOOOoo... and he got an ang pow. You must be curious how much it was. Not too bad; we managed to get him no-ko (RM2) as his birthday gift!

Cotton Candy!

Food!
The Shanahainese Dumpling is really nice!
The Chinese Orchestra

Even the Malay Opera was there!
Noodle-making???

Congratulations to Ah Tat. U won!!! (zheng de shi tuo wo de fu ah!!!)

I think Alex was shocked when the dummy rushed forward!

God finally granted Ah Yieng's desire of her heart!!! These doll man passed by us a few times and she kept saying it would be so great to take picture with them! Finally, they re-appeared again just before we left!!!
