Just a few months ago, I was re-located to another room and to my surprise, it was a Science Lab!!! yes, indeed I was shocked. But that's ok. We learn how to adapt and play with what we have. So I spend quite a lot of time, slowly, turn it into a more warm-looking room, though it looks a little (or very to some) messy. If I were given a chance to move to another room, I would definitely SCREAM out LOUD hehe... coz I really do feel extremely comfy here. I have also created a special corner for the cats! Still remember about the Cats Exhibition? Yea, I've moved everything to my room. Aww...just wanna take some pictures before new stuff comes in next year! Oh boy, I can't wait for the long break; just less than 4 more weeks left & I'll be having my well-deserved rest :#)

Camp Permai Excursion!
Last week was another exciting week for me. After having 1 week Raya break the week before, last week I only taught for 3 days. The International Primary 4,5 & 6 under 6 teachers' care had their field trip this year to Camp Permai and had a night there. The journey there was rather short since we departed from the school. God was so good; He gave us the 'perfect' weather-cloudy but not raining.
So what did we do there?
No one would miss out the obstacle course in Permai. Looking at the physical sizes of the kids, the course really wasn't that easy for them but they did really well, though few of them did not participate fully.
Swimming at the jungle pool & in the sea is definately a must-try activity. I managed to dipped myself in the seawater for about 45 minutes. Ooo... it was SO refreshing! Playing with sands; putting the sands in the kids' shirt and on their heads was really fun. Haha...this is the only time teachers can 'bully' them physically you know. We had night-walk in the jungle after dinner on the 1st day. A group of kids was scared to take the challenge. However after a few moment of persuassion, they agreed to join along. I'm sure they didn't regret for taking htat walk. That was my 2nd time having the walk. The very 1st time was with Lodgian. It was again a different kind of experience; I wonder where all the mosquitoes went?!?!
Arriving@the site, ready to check in!
These are my housemates!
This new challet that we stayed wasn't that bad at all; very simple house, with 2 rooms, with 3 single beds each (the bed is SO comfy!!!), hot water shower, a toilet, a reasonably medium size living room & a nice wooden verandah outside.
You can't go wrong with few good instructors, can you?!
Team work, team work!!!
Enjoying the splash!
Few of my colleagues...
There aren't that many flowers or plants that I could shoot in Permai. But I managed to find this weird-looking tree with a grape-alike fruit on it.
The food has improved so much as compared to many years ago when I brought the Lodgian here.
Something new-a comfy sofa with inspiring magazines!
Chill teachers Chill...let the kids play hard!
I was surprised, we even had high tea, just before the beach activities...
We didn't do Kayaking for one reason; the kids are too young.
I managed to snap this little girl who's one of my students' sister. Cute hey?!
Dinner and camp fire! Marshmallows!!!
Camp Fire at the beach?! Oh yes... my colleague, Becky, her dad started the fire. It was simple. Kids just went around the beach and gathered as much branches they could and we managed to have a reasonably size of fire. They had BBQ Mashmallows!!! Gosh.. I haven't had that for such a long time!
Treasure Hunt is always fun. The kids had this on the 2nd morning, and went to chill at the beach after that lunch, just before we headed home.
John who tried so hard to play the flute.
I hate reptiles..anyway, we met this green guy on the last day.
In conclusion, trips like this is always good for a few reasons. One-to have kids mixing around and see how they work together. Two-for teachers to know them in another dimension. Three-for me to take a 'rest', being out of the school is always great!!!
